American English Coonhound
The American English Coonhounds were brought to the southern parts of the United States of America in the 18th century, and were bred from English Foxhounds from Europe who were brought to North America by European Settlements in Northern Territory (Canada). The coat colours can be red-tick, blue-tick, tri-colour or tri-colour with ticking! Isn't that confusing? Even I don't get it myself! Anyways, there are many other variations of coats but the ones just listed are the most common. English Coonhounds have long straight tails, straight thin legs, a short neck, an oval-shaped head, a long stocky body, deep almond-shaped eyes, a long muzzle and some nice floppy ears.
